April 27, 2021: Waterbury, CT 06704 Wolcott Eagles (Wolcott, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wilby Wildcats (Waterbury, CT), 16-0 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Derby for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, April 28. Wolcott will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Wilby falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Ansonia (Ansonia, CT) to face the Chargers in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, April 28. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Ansonia lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT)
