Virginia High School Softball - Granby bounces Hickory
April 27, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23322 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) and the host Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), witnessed Granby's softball squad prevail over Hickory by a count of 11-3.
The Comets now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Norcom for a Eastern match on Thursday, April 28. Granby will face a Greyhounds squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Hickory moves to 10-2 on the season. The Hawks host Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Hornets in a Southeastern match on Thursday, April 28. The Hornets go into the match with a record of 1-2. Deep Creek lost 9-8 in their recent non-league match against Menchville (Newport News, VA)
