The Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA) softball triumphed over the host Half Moon Bay Cougars (Half Moon Bay, CA), 8-3 in Wednesday's league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to King's Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. Mills will face a Knights squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to Notre Dame (Belmont, CA). The Knights record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Half Moon Bay falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA) to face the Warriors in a Peninsula - Ocean challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. South San Francisco lost 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Terra Nova (Pacifica, CA)
