In Thursday's non-league challenge, the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) baseball squad the visiting East Allegheny Wild Cats (North Versailles, PA), by a margin of 2-0.

With the win, South Allegheny betters its record to 9-7 on the season. The Gladiators host Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA) to encounter the Golden Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Keystone Oaks lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against South Side (Hookstown, PA)

With the defeat, East Allegheny falls to 9-3 on the season. The Wild cats travel to Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-6.
