Illinois High School Soccer - Sacred Heart-Griffin knocks off St. Teresa
April 27, 2023: Springfield, IL 62702 Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cyclones face the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL) in a Central State Eight challenge, on Friday, April 28. Sacred Heart-Griffin will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL).
The Bulldogs now have a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. St. Teresa will face a Saints team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Saints record now stands at 6-8.
