Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting McDonald County Mustangs (Anderson, MO), 8-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Carthage upgrades its record to 13-12 on the season. The Tigers host Sparta (Sparta, MO) to battle the Trojans in a non-league game on Monday, April 29. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 13-7. Sparta won 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Galena (Galena, MO)

The Mustangs (3-14) will now prepare for their game against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO). The Mountaineers go into the non-league game with a 9-9 record.
