Connecticut High School Softball - Watertown bounces Holy Cross
April 28, 2021: Waterbury, CT 06708 Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT), 13-8 in a league challenge.
The Indians now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nonnewaug for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 1. Watertown will battle a Chiefs squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Chiefs record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Holy Cross falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT) to battle the Spartans in a Naugatuck Valley - Copper challenge on Friday, April 30. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Waterbury Career Academy lost 18-1 in their recent league game against Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT)
