Tennessee High School Baseball - Dobyns-Bennett defeats University
April 28, 2022: Kingsport, TN 37664 Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) and the visiting University Buccaneers (Johnson City, TN), saw Dobyns-Bennett's baseball squad knock off University by a count of 7-0.
Coming up next, the Indians play the David Crockett Pioneers (Jonesborough, TN) in a 4A District 1 battle, on Monday, May 2. Dobyns-Bennett will attempt to move on its 17-9 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 7-16 record after their 13-6 non-league loss to Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN).
The Buccaneers now possess a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Unicoi County for a non-league battle on Friday, April 29. University will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-11.
