North Carolina High School Soccer - Cherokee overwhelmed by Highlands
April 28, 2022: Highlands, NC 28741 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) and the visiting Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), saw Highlands's soccer squad triumph over Cherokee by a margin of 6-0.
The Highlanders now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee for a non-league test on Friday, April 29. Highlands will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Carolina Day (Asheville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-10.
With the loss, Cherokee drops to 1-8 on the season. The Braves host Murphy (Murphy, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a Smoky Mountain 1A test on Monday, May 2. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-6. Murphy lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)
