Tennessee High School Soccer - University nudges Unicoi County
April 28, 2022: Johnson City, TN 37614 The University Buccaneers soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Unicoi County Blue Devils to 1 in the Buccaneers non-league victory on Thursday.
Next, the Buccaneers face the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN) in a 1A District 1 contest, on Tuesday, May 3. University will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Black Knights enter the contest with a 4-7 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN).
The Blue Devils now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Elizabethton for a 2A District 1 contest on Tuesday, May 3. Unicoi County will face a Fighting Cyclones team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN). The Fighting Cyclones record now stands at 8-2.
