April 28, 2025: Charleston, IL 61920 Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Urbana University Illineks (Urbana, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Charleston advances its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Apollo test on Tuesday, April 29. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 7-4. Mahomet-Seymour won 3-1 in their recent league test against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
The Illineks now have a 3-14 record. They take the field next when they host Cornerstone Christian for a East Central Illinois test on Tuesday, April 29. Urbana University will clash with a Cyclones team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Unity Christian/Argenta Oreana/Decatur Christian (Forsyth, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 4-8.
