In Monday's non-league bout, the Delta Eagles (Muncie, IN) baseball squad edged the visiting Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), by a tally of 5-4.

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Lapel Bulldogs (Lapel, IN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 1. Delta will attempt to upgrade on its 8-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 11-7 non-league win over Shenandoah (Middletown, IN).
