Tennessee High School Soccer - Polk County knocks off Greenback
April 28, 2025: Benton, TN 37307 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN) and the visiting Greenback Cherokees (Greenback, TN), saw Polk County's soccer squad triumph over Greenback by a count of 11-4.
The Wildcats (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Bradley Central was overwhelmed by Cumberland County (Crossville, TN), 9-5, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cherokees battle the Tellico Plains Bears (Tellico Plains, TN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 1. Greenback will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 9-0 league loss to Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts (Chattanooga, TN).
