In Monday's non-league match, the host Bucktail Bucks softball team scored a tight 10-9 win over the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels.

The Bucks (5-6) will now prepare for their match against Sugar Valley Rural (Loganton, PA). The Phoenix come into the Mid-Penn D4 match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Sugar Valley Rural was nipped by Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA), 21-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Black Knights/Damsels battle the Curwensville Golden Tide (Curwensville, PA) in a Inter County - North match, on Tuesday, April 29. Moshannon Valley will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Golden Tide come into the match with a 7-5 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Purchase Line (Commodore, PA).
