Maryland High School Baseball - Our Lady of Good Counsel nips Bishop McNamara
April 29, 2022: Olney, MD 20853 Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD), 5-4 in a league test.
With the win, Our Lady of Good Counsel upgrades its record to 10-14 on the season. The Falcons host Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD) to battle the Friars in a non-league test on Saturday, April 30. The Friars come into the test with a record of 14-6. Archbishop Curley won 9-0 in their recent non-league test against St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD)
With the defeat, Bishop McNamara falls to 9-9 on the season. The Mustangs host Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA) to battle the Cardinals in a Washington Catholic test on Monday, May 2. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 14-9. Bishop Ireton lost 5-4 in their recent league test against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD)
