New York High School Baseball - Chester holds off Middletown
April 29, 2022: Chester, NY 10918 Chester Hambletonians (Chester, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY), 5-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Chester upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Hambletonians travel to Nanuet (Nanuet, NY) to battle the Golden Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, April 30. The Golden Knights come into the test with a record of 3-5. Nanuet won 12-3 in their recent league test against Clarkstown North (New City, NY)
With the defeat, Middletown falls to 1-10 on the season. The Middie bears travel to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY) to battle the Goldbacks in a Section 9 Orange County I test on Monday, May 2. The Goldbacks come into the test with a record of 6-4. Newburgh Free Academy lost 11-6 in their recent league test against Kingston (Kingston, NY)
