The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) and the visiting Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT), saw Newington's volleyball squad beat Wethersfield by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Newington upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Nor'easters host New Britain (New Britain, CT) to play the Golden Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Monday, May 2. The Golden Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 5-4. New Britain lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Southington (Southington, CT)
