Illiana Christian Vikings (Dyer, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beecher for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. Illiana Christian will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, Peotone falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Manteno (Manteno, IL) to battle the Panthers in a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Monday, May 2. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Manteno won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL)
