April 29, 2023: Youngstown, OH 44515 The Hubbard Eagles baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Austintown-Fitch Falcons to 5 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles (13-8) will now prepare for their match against Lakeview (Cortland, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Northeast Eight Athletic challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview nipped Ursuline (Youngstown, OH), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Austintown-Fitch falls to 10-4 on the season. The Falcons travel to Canfield (Canfield, OH) to battle the Cardinals in a All-American Conference - Red challenge on Monday, May 1. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Canfield lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Edward (Lakewood, OH)
