Illinois High School Baseball - Forreston gets by Genoa-Kingston
April 29, 2023: Forreston, IL 61030 Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL), 9-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Forreston upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Cardinals host Sterling (Sterling, IL) to battle the Golden Warriors in a non-league test on Monday, May 1. The Golden Warriors come into the test with a record of 6-16. Sterling lost 14-10 in their recent league test against Quincy (Quincy, IL)
With the defeat, Genoa-Kingston falls to 4-14 on the season. The Cogs travel to Lutheran (Rockford, IL) to battle the Crusaders in a Big Northern test on Monday, May 1. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 2-11. Lutheran lost 10-1 in their recent league test against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL)
