Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) and the host Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL), saw Joliet Central's baseball squad knock off Rich Township by a count of 15-5.

Coming up next, the Steelmen play the Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL) in a Southwest Prairie battle, on Monday, May 1. Joliet Central will attempt to move on its 9-14 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 10-14 record after their 9-6 non-league win over Kaneland (Maple Park, IL).
