Illinois High School Softball - Wayne City can't hold off Cobden
April 29, 2023: Cobden, IL 62920 The Cobden Appleknockers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Wayne City Indians to 8 in the Appleknockers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Cobden improves its record to 3-11 on the year. The Appleknockers travel to Webber (Bluford, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Saturday, April 29. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 0-15. Webber lost 13-3 in their recent non-league game against Gallatin County (Junction, IL)
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Galatia Bearcats (Galatia, IL) in a game, on Monday, May 1. Wayne City will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record.
