April 29, 2024: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 The Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) soccer bounced the visiting Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL), 8-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Zion moves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Mattoon (Mattoon, IL) to battle the Greenwave in a Apollo bout on Thursday, May 2. The Greenwave go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Mattoon lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL)
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) in a Central State Eight bout, on Tuesday, April 30. Decatur Eisenhower will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Maine South (Park Ridge, IL).
