April 29, 2024: Bremen, IN 46506 The Bremen Lions softball team (Bremen, IN), was routed 7-0 in Monday's league test with the visiting New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN)
Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Jimtown Jimmies (Elkhart, IN) in a Northern Indiana test, on Wednesday, May 1. New Prairie will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Jimmies enter the test with a 9-5 record after their 16-6 league loss to South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN).
The Lions (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Penn (Mishawaka, IN). The Kingsmen enter the Northern Indiana test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Penn tipped Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN), 13-1, in a league test.

The Bremen Girls softball team hosted New Prairie on Monday night at Pfeiffer Field, but those hot bats from last week were silenced by the Cougars pitcher Ava Geyer.
Geyer struck out 17 & only allowed 3 hits.
To start the game, lead-off hitter Eliana Grubbs reached first on an infield hit, & second hitter Mickie Shively doubled off the left field fence. A pair of strike outs & Grubbs was caught stealing to end the threat.
Delanie Neher added a single in the 4th inning for the Lions last runner to reach base.
Ella Chelminiak & Addi Lather homered for New Prairie while Makayla Willoughby added a double to lead the 11-hit Cougar attack.
