April 29, 2024: Alliance, OH 44601 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH) and the host Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH), witnessed Hoover's softball squad prevail over Marlington by a count of 17-2.
The Vikings now sport a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Green for a Federal match on Tuesday, April 30. Hoover will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-0 league win over McKinley (Canton, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-9.
With the loss, Marlington moves to 17-4 on the season. The Dukes travel to Salem (Salem, OH) to face the Quakers in a Eastern Buckeye match on Tuesday, April 30. The Quakers go into the match with a record of 5-11. Salem lost 5-3 in their recent non-league match against Girard (Girard, OH)
