Maine High School Softball - Orono gets by Mattanawcook
April 29, 2024: Orono, ME 04473 Spectators at Monday's league match between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the visiting Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), witnessed Orono's softball squad tip Mattanawcook by a count of 6-5.
The Riots now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Foxcroft Academy for a Class C North match on Tuesday, April 30. Orono will meet a Ponies squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Mattanawcook moves to 1-3 on the season. The Lynx travel to Calais (Calais, ME) to meet the Blue Devils in a Class C North match on Wednesday, May 1. The Blue Devils go into the match with a record of 0-4. Calais lost 14-4 in their recent non-league match against Machias (Machias, ME)
