April 29, 2025: Ashland, KY 41102 Wheelersburg Pirates (Wheelersburg, OH) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), 3-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Wheelersburg improves its record to 15-0 on the year. The Pirates travel to Waverly (Waverly, OH) to play the Tigers in a game on Wednesday, April 30. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 5-11. Waverly lost 6-5 in their recent league game against Valley (Lucasville, OH)
The Tomcats now hold a 10-12 record. They play next when they travel to East Carter for a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. Blazer will play a Raiders squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 21-4.
