Wallkill Panthers (Wallkill, NY) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY), 20-8 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Wallkill improves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY) to play the Presidents in a game on Thursday, April 30. The Presidents enter the game with a record of 0-1. Roosevelt lost 24-2 in their recent league game against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY)

The Dragons now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Kingston for a non-league game on Friday, May 1. Cornwall Central will play a Tigers squad coming off a 16-3 non-league win over Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 9-1.
