In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots softball team scored a tight 5-4 triumph over the Helix Scotties.

With the triumph, Patrick Henry improves its record to 9-12 on the year. The Patriots travel to Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA) to face the Dons in a City Western contest on Friday, May 1. The Dons enter the contest with a record of 9-10. Cathedral Catholic won 8-5 in their recent league contest against Christian (El Cajon, CA)

The Scotties now hold a 18-2 record. They play next when they travel to Monte Vista for a Grossmont Valley contest on Thursday, April 30. Helix will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 22-5 league win over El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 11-9.
