Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Franklin Central Flashes (Indianapolis, IN), 14-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Marauders host Delta (Muncie, IN) to battle the Eagles in a Hoosier Heritage test on Tuesday, April 4. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-3. Delta lost 6-3 in their recent league test against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN)

With the defeat, Franklin Central falls to 1-3 on the season. The Flashes travel to Cathedral (Indianapolis, IN) to battle the Fighting Irish in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 5.
