April 3, 2024: Independence, VA 24348 Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 12-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Giles upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Spartans host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 9. The Pioneers enter the battle with a record of 6-0. Fort Chiswell won 8-5 in their recent non-league battle against Marion (Marion, VA)
