April 3, 2025: Athens, TN 37303 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN) and the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), saw Rhea County's soccer squad knock off McMinn County by a count of 2-0.
The Golden Eagles (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Walker Valley tipped Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cherokees battle the Cleveland Blue Raiders (Cleveland, TN) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 8. McMinn County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Raiders enter the battle with a 6-0 record after their 0-0 non-league Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN).
