The Pine Lake Prep Pride softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights to 2 in the Pride non-league win on Thursday.

The Pride now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Island Charter for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A battle on Friday, April 4. Pine Lake Prep will confront a Raptors team coming off a 3-0 league win over Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC). The Raptors record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Lake Norman Charter moves to 2-8 on the season. The Knights host Robinson (Concord, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a South Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, April 4. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 0-9. Robinson lost 15-0 in their recent league battle against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)
