In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Pinnacle Pioneers softball team scored a nice 21-1 win over the Apollo Hawks.

The Pioneers (11-7) will now prepare for their match against Liberty (Peoria, AZ). The Lions come into the 6A Desert Valley match with a 12-7 record. In their last match, Liberty notched a victory over Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ), 4-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Tolleson Wolverines (Tolleson, AZ) in a 6A West Valley match, on Tuesday, April 7. Apollo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Wolverines enter the game with a 10-8 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ).
