Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Tishomingo County Braves (Iuka, MS), 7-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS) to battle the Hawks in a 3A Region 2 test on Tuesday, April 6. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-4. Holly Springs lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Senatobia (Senatobia, MS)

With the defeat, Tishomingo County falls to 6-9 on the season. The Braves travel to New Albany (New Albany, MS) to battle the Bulldogs in a 4A Region 1 test on Tuesday, April 6. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 6-11. New Albany lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Corinth (Corinth, MS)
