April 30, 2021: Punxsutawney, PA 15767 In Friday's non-league challenge, the Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) baseball squad edged the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), by a final score of 17-16.
With the win, Punxsutawney upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Chucks host DuBois (DuBois, PA) to encounter the Beavers in a Central Penn challenge on Tuesday, May 4. The Beavers come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. DuBois won 21-0 in their recent league challenge against St. Marys (St. Marys, PA)
With the defeat, Ligonier Valley falls to 6-7 on the season. The Rams travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA) to encounter the Vikings in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Monday, May 3. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Mt. Pleasant lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA)
