Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Russellville Golden Tigers (Russellville, AL), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Bucks now sport a 19-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hazel Green for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Buckhorn will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Brooks (Killen, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 32-8.

With the loss, Russellville falls to 15-20 on the campaign. The Golden tigers travel to Huntsville (Huntsville, AL) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 11-11. Huntsville 7-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN)
