Illinois High School Softball - Columbia bounces Centralia
April 30, 2022: Centralia, IL 62801 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) and the host Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL), witnessed Columbia's softball squad prevail over Centralia by a count of 14-0.
The Eagles now sport a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Roxana for a Cahokia - Mississippi match on Wednesday, May 4. Columbia will meet a Shells squad coming off a 16-15 league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Shells record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, Centralia moves to 6-11 on the season. The Orphans travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL) to meet the Rams in a South Seven match on Tuesday, May 3. The Rams go into the match with a record of 12-10. Mt. Vernon won 15-0 in their recent league match against Cahokia (Cahokia, IL)
