In Saturday's non-league contest, the Octorara Area Braves (Atglen, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA), by a margin of 22-6.

With the triumph, Octorara Area moves its record to 4-8 on the year. The Braves travel to Garden Spot (New Holland, PA) to play the Spartans in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 3 contest on Monday, May 2. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 4-7. Garden Spot won 12-2 in their recent league contest against Cocalico (Denver, PA)

In their next game, the Mountaineers play the Lebanon Cedars (Lebanon, PA) in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 contest, on Monday, May 2. Ephrata will attempt to move on its 6-8 season record.
