Kentucky High School Softball - Pikeville bounces Nicholas County
April 30, 2022: Pikeville, KY 41501 Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 18-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perry County Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. Pikeville will face a Commodores squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Commodores record now stands at 29-4.
With the loss, Nicholas County falls to 10-16 on the campaign. The Bluejackets host Bourbon County (Paris, KY) to face the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 12-23. Bourbon County lost 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY)
