Massachusetts High School Softball - Reading Memorial holds off Wilmington
April 30, 2024: Wilmington, MA 01887 Reading Memorial Rockets (Reading, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, MA), 4-2 in a league challenge.
The Rockets now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Watertown for a Middlesex challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Reading Memorial will face a Raiders squad coming off a 18-2 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, MA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-8.
With the loss, Wilmington falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lowell Catholic (Lowell, MA) to face the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
