In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals baseball team scored a close 6-2 victory over the Independence Blue Devils.

The Royals (11-5) will now prepare for their game against Mentor (Mentor, OH). The Cardinals enter the non-league game with a 13-2 record. In their last game, Mentor held off Strongsville (Strongsville, OH), 5-0, in a league game.
