Virginia High School Soccer - McLean knocks off South County
April 30, 2025: McLean, VA 22101 The McLean Highlanders soccer squad scored 7 points and held the visiting South County Stallions to 1 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Highlanders now hold a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Yorktown for a Liberty bout on Friday, May 2. McLean will play a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, South County moves to 3-5 on the year. The Stallions host West Springfield (Springfield, VA) to play the Spartans in a Patriot bout on Friday, May 2. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-3. West Springfield lost 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Westfield (Chantilly, VA)
