New Jersey High School Softball - Rutherford bounces West Essex
April 30, 2025: Rutherford, NJ 07070 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Rutherford Bulldogs (Rutherford, NJ) and the visiting West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ), observed Rutherford's softball team get by West Essex by a tally of 8-1.
The Bulldogs (11-3) will now prepare for their bout against Bergenfield (Bergenfield, NJ). The Bears go into the non-league bout with a 8-11 record. In their last bout, Bergenfield tipped Tenafly (Tenafly, NJ), 16-4, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Knights clash with the Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ) in a SEC - Liberty bout, on Friday, May 2. West Essex will attempt to advance on its 5-11 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 14-8 league loss to Verona (Verona, NJ).
