The Clay County Panthers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Webster County Highlanders to 3 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now hold a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they host Midland Trail for a non-league test on Monday, May 4. Clay County will play a Patriots team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 5-17.

With the defeat, Webster County drops to 9-10 on the year. The Highlanders host Mount View (Welch, WV) to play the Golden Knights in a non-league test on Friday, May 1.
