Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) and the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Centennial's baseball squad edge Chaparral by a margin of 4-3.

Coming up next, the Coyotes play the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 5. Centennial will attempt to better on its 16-4 season record. The Scorpions enter the battle with a 10-6 record after their 7-0 league loss to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ).

The Firebirds now sport a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Cactus Shadows for a 5A Northeast Valley battle on Friday, April 5. Chaparral will play a Falcons squad coming off a 8-4 league loss to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ). The Falcons record now stands at 10-8.
