April 4, 2024: Galena, MO 65656 The Clever Blue Jays baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Galena Bears to 0 in the Blue Jays non-league victory on Thursday.
The Blue Jays (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO). The Mountaineers go into the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Mt. Vernon was overwhelmed by Parkview (Springfield, MO), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Galena falls to 8-1 on the season. The Bears host Purdy (Purdy, MO) to encounter the Eagles in a Class 2 District 12 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-8.
