April 4, 2024: Huxley, IA 50124 Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals confront the Oskaloosa Indians (Oskaloosa, IA) in a Little Hawkeye challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. Newton will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.
The Bombers now possess a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Knoxville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Ballard will confront a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
