In Friday's non-league game, the host East Providence Townies baseball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Narragansett Mariners.

The Townies (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels go into the Division 1 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Smithfield nudged Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 12-7, in a non-league game.

Next, the Mariners play the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 2 game, on Monday, April 7. Narragansett will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Chieftains go into the game with a 2-1 record after their 12-7 non-league loss to Smithfield (Esmond, RI).
