April 4, 2026: Belton, MO 65338 The Kickapoo Chiefs baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Belton Pirates to 0 in the Chiefs non-league win on Saturday.
The Chiefs now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joplin for a Class 6 District 6 test on Monday, April 6. Kickapoo will play a Eagles team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Park Hill (Kansas City, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 5-2.
With the defeat, Belton drops to 2-6 on the year. The Pirates host Truman (Independence, MO) to play the Patriots in a non-league test on Monday, April 6. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 6-8. Truman lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Lee's Summit West (Lee's Summit, MO)
